Cuz it's you and me and all of the people...

How fast this summer is going by! It seems so unreal to me. I can't even believe that everything that's happened this summer has really happened. Sometimes it feels like a bad dream and I'm going to wake up any moment. I just got back from seeing "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory" with Jill and Laura. We were looking at pictures from Jenny's grad party and it seems like sooo long ago! Such a wild and crazy night. Such crazyness with my high school girls and the wild Isett family! It was also the last time that Carl said he loved me. Not wanting to, I've replayed it in my head so many times. It's almost like I'm going to wake up tomorrow morning and hear the same words on the phone. But I won't. And it's well past time to move forward.

All in all, it's hard to say what this summer has comprised of thus far. I think that I've definitely become so much more vulnerable because of all I've been through. I've also learned who to trust and who to put my faith in. More than ever, I am sooo glad for the friends who have stuck by me. Most particularly Sherry (and her amazing, unending support), Brian (my big brother), Jill (who always understands), Kitty (my soulmate, what more can I say?), and others. You have truly helped me to move through this crazy summer!


In other news, the Young Adult Life (YAL) retreat is coming up in a few weeks. July 30-31st at St. Marys for graduating high school students through age 28. It's going to be really awesome and yours truly is giving the opening talk! So anyone whose free that weekend should come! Of course if you want a preview of what we'll be doing on retreat, you're more than welcome to come to our weekly young adult nights on Thursday. Just im me for more info!
